hey, there's a new book on the coffee table ~

my good friend, fellow misfit & part-time santa's elf just sent me this cool book ~

the stars: a new way to see them ~

it's by h.a. rey, who'll you recognize as the guy who brought us curious george :) ~

our star chart ~

this book has an easily readable approach that comfortably introduces us to the stars without overwhelming our brains with too many technicalities ~

it has every kind of star chart imaginable to show you the way through the night sky ~

for years mr dad & i have photo'd eclipses & supermoons ~

year-round celestial clock ~

originally published in the 50s, this vintage book still has pluto reassuringly included among the planets, out there at the edge of our solar system ~

toxic lived on the moon for awhile, not unlike gumby ~

it's starting to feel like xmas now :) ~

composition books

do you keep a journal?~

i've asked the question before as i am an avid writer of hypergraphic journals ~

& i've found i like these composition book style versions best ~

perhaps because they're big enough to afford me space for stickers as well? ~

& mysterious drawings ;) ~

bats, frogs, suns & moons ~

i've been keeping journals for over 30 years now ~

as an infj personality type i have a particular need to write & reflect to process life ~

i also have a trunkful of my mom's diaries archived in a trunk as well ~

i especially like the spiral bound decomposition books which can fold all the way open for easy use ~

i hope to live long enough to fill the many cool blank journals i've now collected ;)
