fall library sale

yesterday i hit the fall friends of the library sale downtown here in portland ~

it's book nerd heaven ~

& it's like my xmas ~

wonderful old fashioned & vintage books ~

i always scoop up the dover coloring books ~

kittens & butterflies ~

vintage wonder, elf & little golden books ~

this dr seuss story was/is still my son's favorite ~

when i saw it was glow-in-the-dark i had to bring it home ~

thanks mr dad, for manning the book cart ;) ~

pop-up oz & kids' vinyl too ~

i found these pokemon guides for raven, as well as a world champion pokemon card in the free bookmarks box too ~

i'll be posting these books up individually soon ~

p.s. you still have time to get to the sale today, but it's also the pdx marathon today so.. just sayin' ;)

as we wind up autumn & head into winter ~

besides collecting & painting & making mini houses i also love photography ~

& autumn is my favorite season for this ~

flashback friday - dollscapes

this flashback friday i thought i'd highlight my ghostgallery dollscapes ~

that's what i call the installations i've created & photo'd through the years ~

using dolls & other vintage toys ~

from my own toyroom ~

like our mini houses they are hosted up at the last hallway of my ghost gallery ~

up at gumbyland ~

a place i call the rows of never opened doors ~

often inner child themed, these creations have been like art therapy for me ~

& i've even appeared in some myself ;) ~

along with many toys i've posted about here at the lost & found blog ~

miniature houses

for this flashback friday i wanted to highlight our mini houses that i have up at my ghost gallery at gumbyland ~

i've posted about some of these here at the lost & found in years past ~

some of these mr dad & i have built together & some we found & restored ourselves ~

generally mr dad does the building & i do the painting & theme decorating ~

here are the ones we've completed & i'll be adding a few more once my work is done ;) be sure to use a laptop or pc with sound up for essential music!
