i bought this giant cardboard 'play-inside' dollhouse about 25 years ago ~

mail-in offer & instructions ~

my kitties approve of it ~

it came with wildly off-scale furniture & dolls ~ lol!

cardboard kitchen with all the mod cons ~

also parts, lightbulbs & seeds for a 'real working greenhouse' ~

instructions & pieces ~

it's quirky, but we enjoy it ~

one last xmas post ~

before the year is over ~

i love this reproduction comic book ~

taken from the woolworth's 1953 xmas toy catalogue ~

a fun comic for kids awaiting xmas & choosing what toys to write to santa about ;) ~

toxic loved her local woolworth's store ~

especially at holiday time ~

it made walking home from school a treat to be able to go inside & see the new toys or holiday items ~

& woolworth's was inexpensive enough to be able to buy gifts for family members too! ~

the pets & paper aisles were always a favorite as well ~

& who didn't love having a grilled cheese sandwich & milkshake at the little lunch counter in back :D ~

i grew up with woolworth's & even was still buying fisher price toys for my own son there before our local store closed ~

classic xmas nostalgia <3 ~

dolls, cars, little golden books or guns (you'll shoot your eye out!) ~

they had what every kid wanted ~

vampirism

not long back i posted about the skyrim anniversary edition rpg i was heading into ~

so i've already built lakeview manor & filled it with everything i need as my base home ~

it requires alot of work ~

& i'm already finding & taming wild horses ~

like my wild irish rose here, the red horse ~

& thunder the black horse ~

so it does bother me that i can't keep multiple horses like i did in eso ~

i've adopted sofie, the street urchin from windhelm <3 ~

i think she'll need a sister too ~

this butterfly in jar reminds me of the old skyrim days when my kitty, boopy would be beside me for all of our games & adventures <3 ~

she tried & tried to catch that butterfly :) ~

i also purchased a home in riften where i am thane, to practice my alchemy & enchanting (& to have a home near the thieves guild ;) ~

meet sofie's new sister, runa.. a mother's love <3 ~

out exploring ~

i was bitten the other day in pinemoon cave ~

so i guess now i'll be back to sleeping days ;) ~

i'm looking forward to winter & snow ~

i wish i could set up a home in this cave i discovered ~

elder scrolls

this flashback friday i'm looking back to my days.. years spent in the old elder scrolls games ~

i'm someone who started out in oblivion ~

probably because raven was playing the earlier morrowind game :) ~

i played almost the entirety of the game as a vampire after being bitten in the town of hackdirt by lovecraftian vampires <3 ~

this made the game especially challenging back in the pre twilight years ~

but it also made it my favorite, & i've captured several unlisted youtube videos of my homes & treasures here ~

i particularly loved the shivering isles :D (the sunlight gets me here!) ~

i did eventually play morrowind once i could finally tear raven away from it too ~

i decided to play as a khajiit this time ~

still a vampire of course ~

here's a peek back with raven from years ago ~

& then there was skyrim ~

i'm a breton, a little bit older with a streak of white in my hair ~

this is where i fell in love with building my own homes & keeping horses ~

& it was pure vampiric indulgence as well ~

i eventually went back for a second full playthrough when we got skyrim remastered, this time as a khajiit ~

as a vampire khajiit i liked to adopt orphans & let them live in my many homes ~

my kitty, boopy, who was always with me for games, really loved skyrim too <3 ~

we also shared some of the old elder scrolls games up at our youtube game gallery videos here on my youtube channel ~
