flashback friday favorite ~ sockitties

i recently made this little sockitty named freddy ~

out of my old worn out freddy krueger socks :) he looks nice & warm in his sweater ~

some sockitties of olde ~

my great grandma used to make us similar kitties to chew on when we were babies, you could hold them by the tail, & she stitched on cute faces.. mine are usually more oddball, or have catnip inside ;) ~

at some point she must've stopped stitching on the faces & just drew them on, but they'd get washed off ~

here are some my nieces have, i think they've drawn on their faces, the same way i did with mine ~
