lize meddings created these characters to raise awareness about mental health for young people in the uk ~
i've been known online as ghost for decades now ;) ~
& for a couple years i ran a support forum for others like me dealing with depression & other mental health issues ~
called psychconnection ~

wow a quick login got me here. I have no idea how. But it was simple. So. It's a cool story. Im gonna check out the book. The art is really cool, like The Peanuts esque. The classic ghost in comics is Casper. He had a comic book. I think #1 is worth money and then #3? explains caspers origin story. I think his parent died or something and he became a ghost. It's really not for kids if u ask me, the origin story is disturbing. But not as bad as like Tales from the Crypt or The Haunt of Fear. lol.

brian hey! glad you could comment :)
i did not know about that casper origin story at all!
i have posted some vintage casper comics here at the lost & found before, also spooky & wendy etc
it's cool to know because actually my first moniker on the internet was friendlyghost, like casper :) lol
i shortened it to ghost years later (not that i'm not still friendly) but have been known as ghost forever online.. at my 'other' blog, the ghost blog & also i hosted a forum to support others dealing with mental health issues for a couple years, several of our members were in the uk, so when the uk based sad ghost club came to be i felt like 'hey, i was sad first'..
anyway, the sad ghost original zines are cool, kinda for young people? but i still like them!
