first of all happy mom's day to all my fellow moms :) ~

it's another cd sunday ~

some of our favorite indie cds this time ~

give sparklehorse a listen here if you haven't before, another tragic loss to suicide, mark linkous ~

ghosty <3 ~

i discovered so many good indie bands as a longtime member at the old elliott smith forum called sweet addy ~

i was known there as friendlyghost ;) ~

& even once was asked to be mod goddess! :D ~

we love sea wolf ~

definitely try them out too ~

i've had a hard time waiting for good new music to come out these days ;( ~

but i'm still enjoying midlake's bethel woods ~

& waiting for the smile to release their first cd on the 13th ~

yeah i preordered it already ~

raven loves sea wolf too ~

great talent with a rich oldworld feel ~

the eels ~

if you're unfamiliar try checking out electro-shock blues first ~

appropriate for any other sad ghosts out there dealing with mental health issues these days ~

mark everett's sister was another suicide that inspired some of his songs ~

like beautiful freak which you may have heard in the shrek movie ~

it makes me think of my own sister, cathy <3 ~
