What a cool old book, Bren. I was missing seeing and taking pics of birds today, so it was nice to see this book and look at your Backyard Bird Album. Unfortunately, I had to turn the sound down because of my mom. I ordered a headset to use on this laptop with my rewards points, so should get it Monday I hope. I would love to see a Western Tanager in person! Beautiful!

sally,
we get so many different birds here! especially in winter for some reason? my bird photos are not that great.. lol not like yours by a longshot, but i'm glad you enjoyed them.. we had a raccoon adventure unfold here awhile back too, i linked up some pix of them at my other blog too.. i have more of these great old how & why nature books ready to post over the rest of september :)
