I remember ordering books too, Bren! Filling out the order form and then having them arrive at school! =) Thank you for the reminder today. I'm so overwhelmed with caring for my mom and health issues and financial woes, etc. and this post today and your post that I commented on about the art work my mom saved makes me realize that she did, and does, love me in her own way. We didn't have a lot of money, but she let me order books! I was a bookworm too. My escape back then. My thick huge glasses, shyness and autistic ways didn't get me many friends if any, but my books were my friends! =) Thank you for your blog. Like Gumby, they are helping me keep what sanity I have left. <3

sally i'm so glad the lost & found helps you too, it helps me every day, i look forward to the nostalgia, as you know i also am regularly overwhelmed with my health & $ issues.. & i had issues with my mom, i was not her favorite :( but she got better as all of us flawed humans tend to do, & she did love me afterall, like you said, in her own way ;) i was a poor booknerd in glasses too, now i wouldn't change one thing, it made us who we are now, good caring sensitive people with good values..
<3
it reminds me of the decemberists' song lyrics 'oh my god, what a world you have made, what a terrible world, what a beautiful world, what a world you have made..'
it all comes tangled together..

Thanks Bren; you always have the best response. =) Thank you for letting me visit every day if I want to and at any time of day. You are a good soul. =)
......I remember that I used to get lots of the Peanuts Gang books. I loved Snoopy. =)
.....And that cat pillow in the front drew my attention. The mostly pink one next to Eyore. I remember those! I had one just like that at one time. I think I still have the little sample that either me or my sister made into a doll pillow with a felt backing. =)

thanks, sally :)
i love snoopy too, i think of myself as half female linus & half snoopy (the half that cries when shroeder plays sad music on his piano..lol)
i have a few old peanuts paperbacks:

i think i paid a dollar for him at a yard sale :D

I think I got rid of my old Peanuts paperbacks like so many other things I used to have.....And yes, that's the kitty! I just commented on that post of yours. $1 at a yard sale was a great price! He is from the 60's or 70's and yours is clean! I think I had some of those panels in storage for other similar pillow/toys and may have gotten rid of those too. I have so much craft stuff in storage and Christmas too! I'm going there today to try to sort some of the 90's trolls that I have in there....So overwhelming, but paying a fortune to store all of that stuff that I'll never have room to display is terrible and yet I'm still buying more stuff!

we had to have our stuff all in storage once when my son was small, i remember that feeling of being separated from all your treasures.. have hope, sally, things can change for the better.. wish i could go back to my younger self & tell her that.. lol :)
