i'm sharing this old post as a flashback friday favorite as i am again transitioning to a new laptop!
late post today.. i'm wondering how others deal with laptop death? i have a veritable mausoleum in my closet.. this morning i began experiencing what i've come to know as the first signs of laptop death with my trusty toshiba. :( had to wait for help from my IT oriented son to bring it 'round to functioning enough for me to post.. i don't deal with laptop death well. as a reclusive person i probably make connections to things more than the sparse people in my world.. laptops, old toys, kid's books.. go figure ~
i'm not a phone person, actually i may be the only human left who does not have a phone? but i do love my laptops like old friends & they tend to accumulate stickers due to toxic & her forever sticker addiction, adding to the loss when i finally must let one go.. this older one i had to keep kicking back into shape as the screen barely would stay upright near the end, it would start slipping forward or back sadly as i typed out my posts.. (cry) ~
& this one literally Caught Fire, not once but 3 times on its power cord before i could let it go.. i'm never ready for it. i may be at that point again. i guess there is the upside of looking for new stickers?? but my money tree is out of season right now.. will update ~

p.s. that's my sweet little tabitha pittypat who we lost back in february, she was 17 years old..
p.p.s. Girl Power!
