a special vintage little golden book today ~

i've posted little red riding hood little golden books here before ~

but this one's extra special ~

first of all it's very vintage from the 40s ~

beautifully illustrated by elizabeth orton jones ~

the classic fairy tale ~

she's blonde this time & in this version the wolf ate up grandma ~

i've found the older the version, the more violent the story ~

there's a kitty ~

so once upon a time this little golden book came with a jigsaw puzzle in back :) ~

mine is sadly missing the pieces :( ~
