i was excited to see this vintage ad when it came up on ebay because it shows a lost playset of toxic's that i've been looking for forever ~
one xmas around 1971-1973 toxic got the smokey the bear camping playset shown in the ad & she thoroughly used it & loved it, especially outside on cold rainy days when she'd play as if she were surviving out on her own ~
the set came with this flashlight & smokey the bear cover that made it like a glowy nitelite ~
i've collected these photos from the internet over the years of the various pieces ~
it came with a canteen made of plastic similar to this one only it had a very useful compass inset into one side (see ad) ~
the set in the ad above comes with this backpack ~
but toxic's came with this smaller bag style one ~
i remember the 'tent' was fairly useless on it's own without a lot of work since it was simply an open sleeve of yellow plastic & some string! ~
there seems to be either black or yellow binoculars in a case, & i honestly don't remember which one toxic got, but this remains a favorite toy, status ~ Lost! ~
