halloween shopping

at our house halloween season means shopping time ~

because keeping halloween decor around the house year round requires maintenance ~

besides the usual pumpkins & ghosts, there are household things like soap & tea towels ~

& of course i'm an easy target for seasonal marketing, so food & candy ~

every year we add to our decor, like with these 2 ladies watching the door ~

mr dad brought me home this enormous plastic jol this year, because it's different than all the rest ~

the toyroom is forever halloween decorated ~

including vintage estate sale finds from the year ~

& some new touches each halloween ~

because we just love halloween all the time ~

new skelly friends come to live in my closet ~

& we find & try out spooky masks every year ~

then we update our halloween album here (sound up!) ~

snuffleupagus likes the vintage butterfly one ~

i'm partial to autumn butterflies ~

this devil one is nicely vintage ~

ghosts are always welcome ~

& black cats ~

we even picked up a new halloween house for kitties ~

from hyde & eek boutique ~

with toys ~

& i picked up some ceramic additions for our spookytown display ~

as well as ceramic mugs ~
