i picked this up when i saw it because i knew my son would want it ~
it's a vintage tolkien paperback set from ballantine books ~
we already have some of these books loose, in fact they're the versions my son & i both read while in high school ~
but this set had the box ~
covered in elven heraldry ~
& it includes the hobbit ~
the books ~
