pogs: the game

remember pogs? ~

for awhile pogs were everywhere, in your cereal box, at your fast food restaurant ~

here's the game that started the craze ~

not much to it really, basically just an official tournament game pad to slam pogs on ~

but there were all varieties of game mats too ~

my son was into the pog collecting craze of the 90s so at our house we all got into it too ~

based on milkcaps, the old hard paper liners from inside your home delivered milk bottles ~

there were power ranger power caps ~

a pog was sometimes called a trov or a cap ~

these could be won by playing the game with friends or bought outright ~

i particularly liked knott's berry farm pogs ~

like these holiday themed sets ~

sometimes on sheets, or handed out separately ~

you needed tubes like these to keep your collection in ~

there were so many different kinds of pogs & caps sold like trading cards ~

psychedelic z caps ~

we have a zillion pogs now ~
