in celebration of friday the 13th i want to highlight 13 of my favorite movies to see this october as we get in the mood for halloween! ~
as you can see we love movies at our house! ~
it was hard to narrow down my list to 13..lol ~
but the most obvious choice right off is tim burton's the nightmare before christmas ~
i watch this every year, great to watch with your kids, or just as a grown-up kid ~
my bookshelves & toyroom are packed with nightmare before christmas toys & collectibles, so i have a whole category listing you can check out anytime in the sidebar ~
another great tim burton film is frankenweenie ~

if you've missed seeing any of these, drop everything & seek them out, make popcorn & prepare for a treat ~
another one from ray bradbury if you can find it is the halloween tree animated film ~
this lost classic deserves more attention ~
hocus pocus is too much fun to ignore ~
starring bette midler, it has great musical fun included ~
i'm including paranorman by laika studios here in portland, (but definitely check out coraline as well) ~
let's go see what we can find on mr dad's shelves in his space room ~
if i have to choose one original universal monster it must be dracula starring bela lugosi ~
but don't stop there.. (& be sure to check out monster week from october 2012) ~
hmm.. so many good ones to choose from ~
how about some good ghost stories? ~
don't miss the lady in white ~
a wonderfully scary halloween ghost story ~
the others with nicole kidman is one of the best for good creepy scares ~
the kind of movie you'll want to watch more than once ~
good & spooky, daniel radcliffe in the woman in black ~
be prepared for this one ~
i have to include alfred hitchcock's psycho ~
oh my, is that 13 already? i love october. happy binge-watching! ~
we'll be back to vintage vinyl next friday.. but wait, there are more dvds in that trunk!.. ~
