what is truly scary, though, is that we are covered in ash here, our skylights & decks, the eagle creek fire jumped the river in the night & the gorge is burning, the falls, the multnomah lodge, saved in the night but still threatened, our trees & many of the creatures shown here, our neighbors' homes, all threatened now thanks to one idiot with fireworks.
