miniature houses

you may notice the prevalence of miniature houses in the sidebar & in my toyroom photos, that's because mr dad & i like to create dollhouses together :) ~

this yellow dollhouse was our first ~

found at a yardsale down in socal, it had obviously had a mouse living in it :)
it just needed a refurbishing job ~

i used it in this powerpoint show called gumby's christmas crisis ~

today is mr dad's birthday ~

just last october i posted this post with some of the houses we've done in the past ~

including our halloween house, lilac house, charlotte house & raven's rest ~

here's a vintage dollhouse we found at a grange sale here locally ~

bringing it home in the car i discovered a nice big ladybug living in the attic,
so i released her out the window & decided to call it the ladybug house.. hoping it wouldn't catch fire, 
'cause, you know, the song? ~

we kept the vintage feel of this one but cleaned it up so it can be played with someday by grandkids ~

used here in my autumn butterfly installation ~

morning glories are my favorite flower ~

ladybugs still live here ~

here's the house we're started on now, i refer to it as the mystery house ~

we pick up furniture we find at sales, sometimes they just need a little repair, but it saves cost on these projects ~

this greenleaf kit sits on the shelf for someday, it's slated to be a vampire school for girls :D 
greenleaf minis has a good forum for mini house enthusiasts, i used to post here under the username mad hatter ~

i like miniature houses so i've created many different kinds for my gallery out of all different things ~

blackbird's outpost & floorsleeper/blue house ~

annie's saturday house & the patchwork playhouse ~

some i think of as dollscapes or installations, & some are photography albums like in a ghost house ~

i guess tomorrow's the first day of summer? i'm already thinking about halloween..
