some more gumby stuff today ~
gumby & pokey soap ~
with bittys inside ~
also i just bought this little lot of gumby figures on ebay.. the reason they're special is because they were burger king prizes back when the new adventures first came out in 1988.. i posted some here once, but i was missing pokey, & my blockhead was in poor shape.. (i've included a newer gumby bitty for size comparison) ~
1988 art clokey ~
i still have items on my gumby want list.. i don't have a gumby costume yet for instance ~
also i'm a fan of viewmaster which was invented here in oregon, & i always wished there'd been more gumby reels like these ~
these were from the new adventures with scenes from kid brother kids & kangaroo express ~
also my friend jeff w. sent me these kubrick boxes since he had extras, i have yet to collect these because they're always pricey ~
here's my holy grail :) ~
the prema bendy.. & this one's signed!
(this pic was sent to me once at gumbyland)
i still believe i'll stumble across one of these someday in a collectible shop or estate sale ~
someone else sent me this photo of the vintage gumby on the seawall down at shark's cove in cali that i'd like to see :)
also i wonder if these giant roadside gumby & pokey are still up in norco? does anyone know?
remember the new gumby comic comes out july 5th!!
bren
I found the Prickle happy meal prize when I was little before the net and had no idea anyone other characters were available besides G and P. I treasure this Prickle. In addition to being my favorite main character, this Prickle looks better than the bittys and the bendies of him. I just got the rest of the set recently.

yes, prickle is my favorite too! & the regular bitty tends to have such small pupils that he looks spooked! my favorite is the full sized prickle here: https://friendlyghost.typepad.com/lost_found_vintage_toys/2015/03/gumby-friends.html on my bookshelf all the time :)

Hi Bren, Thanks for sending me the link to this post again. Your holy grail gumby looks just like the ones we got, but signed. As many of them as there were, I can't believe that more signed ones have not come up or that you didn't see them often over the years if they were really factory rejects and thousands were made "supposedly"! I'm thinking I have some of the Burger King ones, but I don't know for sure, because I have some stuff that I put in storage and haven't gotten out again. I just didn't know that they were from Burger King. The soap is cool. That would get kids to wash so that they could get to the gumby and pokey inside them. Good idea for the kids that didn't want to take a bath or wash their hands. HaHa! (I think I like the newer NJ Croce Prickle bendy the best from the 5 piece sets). =)

doesn't he? heck i'm just happy to have some unsigned ones now thanks to your alert, i have other art clokey signed items so i'm good. & yeah this was a hodgepodge of gumbystuff, i'd posted about the bk bitties before, they're kinda oddball but fairly rare.. wonder why these & the 'cereal premium' bitties are suddenly showing up on ebay? i'll post the new gumby mip one once it comes..

I know, right? It seems so strange how stuff shows up sometimes all at once. I wish Holly remembered more about those Prema heart Gumby's, but the pictures I've seen online show different colors, different shaped heads and raised heart instead of in and I'm thinking there are just as many of them as there were other molds made of the other ones that were sold before Lakeside and during the lakeside years. There is just so much unknowns and mysteries in the toy production world.
