well, it's finally october! but before i start with halloween posts i wanted to update the lost & found with the latest gumby items out there ~
the latest to come out has been the original remastered gumby 60s adventures volume #2 on dvd ~
i posted volume #1 here ~
40 more classic episodes all crisp & clear with fun original bumpers & photo gallery, vintage unused gumby theme & stories from the old clokey crew that worked on gumby adventures back in the day ~
this is the gift set which also comes with bendies! ~
it's the blockheads this time, g & j ~
these large bendies are marked 2003 ~
& i believe they are the same set that came with this old dvd set i posted here at the lost & found ~
a little rarer than other blockhead bendies as in this set g is smiling :) ~
you may notice in some of these episodes that the j is reversed on one side ~
this set is a must have for gumby fans, especially if, like me, you love some of the oddball adventures from the 60s that were pure fun.. like of clay & critters, foxy box, grub grabber gumby & haunted hotdog.. they got really creative in the 60s.. we meet gumby's grampa, his aunt gumbitty & little goobilee, prickle becomes an artist, in fact all the main characters seem to go into business ventures, plus new characters like nopey & dr zveegee come into play.. i particularly like prickle's mom, & fred the hemoglobin, who looks strikingly like the moon boggles who also show up in their own episodes.. we even see 'animated people' in the lawn party adventure, plus art clokey's film 'clay peacock' is included! ~
& if that's not enough for you the superflex 50s collector's edition bendies are now available in a set ~
in cool retro packaging from nj croce ~
the bendies ~
50s style gumby & pokey ~
if you haven't yet, please visit my website gumbyland or just click on gumby in the category list anytime ~
thanks, joe! & please keep the bendies coming :) ~
