on this last day of vintage socal ephemera items i'm remembering old restaurants mostly ~
toxic's favorite was farrell's ice-cream parlor where she not only went for birthdays, but mostly before or after a movie at the cerritos mall.. a cheese hotdog & fries, followed by a chocolate soda, this was like heaven on earth ~
on the way to or from school she also often stopped in the local bob's big boy for a donut or other times a bob's big boy combo with a chocolate shake in silver goblet.. i still remember the weird booth dividers that were like plastic with macaroni & beans embedded in designs.. lol ~

long beach is home to the queen mary, where toxic spent many 4th of july nights seeing the fireworks off her bow.. & her folks talked alot about the pike, an old lb themepark with a cool funhouse & vintage louff carousel, her favorite episode of the little rascals was filmed inside.. the pike was finally reopened not long ago ~
