toxic was fortunate enough to grow up in southern california & got to go to all the great themeparks there all the time ~
all these vintage souvenir postcards & brochures are from the 70s, back then the best times were when she'd get to go on a weekday morning in the off season when there was hardly anyone there, something that doesn't even happen anymore, No Lines! :D and any excuse to go was good enough, birthdays, day camp, scholarship club night, or just another summer day ~
here are some foldout style postcards including the pirates of the caribbean attraction in the old days, pre jack sparrow ~
i remember the submarines! the long lost pack mules, the people mover , the monsanto ride & the weirdly terrifying tiki room! ~
toxic's favorites were the pirates of the caribbean & the haunted mansion, back when they still scared her ~
i have several disneyland youtube videos so subscribe if you're interested, here we are entering this classic E ticket ride back 10 years ago or so ~
a commenter on this youtube told me something very cool, did you know back in the day that all the skeletons in this attraction were real? they were later removed, except for the x bones over the bed :D i love this! ~
i'll post haunted mansion goodies tomorrow, but be sure to go see the vintage dineys on the disneyland train ride before they go extinct ~
