scooba doo beatnik doll

there's a new vintage chick in the toyroom ~

i said yesterday that i saved the best doll for last & here she is ~

this is a 1964 scooba doo talking beatnik doll by mattel ~

i wanted the brunette version which is kinda rare ~

check out her groovy chain & eye make-up ~

she has sleepy eyes ~

she's around 2' tall with a plush body & plastic head ~

but the coolest part is all the things she says when you pull her string, like:

play it cool, don't be a square!
i'm hip, you know like beatnik..
i dig food, like when do we eat?
hey sweetie, like you're something else, you know..
hey doll, like you're way out!
(scooba doo song) bug me baby..
i dig that crazy beat yeah!
get with it like wheeee!
dig my crazy black stockings..

pull-string & original mattel tag ~

it's amazing she still works given she's older than i am ~

she also sings a crazy scoobadoo song :) ~

that's my favorite bit & it cracks me up, i'll have to be careful not to overpull her string to hear her sing.. lol ~
