the most successful of all the original nes rpg fantasy games was final fantasy ~
with its extensive explorer's handbook ~
again you assemble your own party of 4 from your choice of fighters & mages ~
& start exploring the world looking for items & treasure ~
& solving quests you encounter along the way ~
i played this game completely several times ~
once with my son along ~
they are still making final fantasy games to this day ~
i think they're on ff 15 ~
& my son has played tham all ~
in fact they are his favorites ~
but it all started with this classic original nes game ~
it came with a world map ~
with a creature chart on the reverse ~
but i still found myself making maps ~
don't step on the hot lava! ~
charts ~
even the music from this game becomes very memorable & nostalgic ~
my main character was always cat the red mage ~
using both black & white magic ~
