other knights worth mentioning are the mystic knights of tir na nog from the 90's.. these are a few of the mcdonald's kid's meal prize versions from 1999 ~
fisher price also made these great adventures knight & dragon toys in the 90's.. here are the fire & ice knights & some kid's meal prize toys from mcdonald's ~
but by far the best knight & castle toys in my opinion are made by playmobil ~
my son has been collecting them since his childhood & there is a huge variety with new items coming out each year also ~
this dragon sits atop a pile of playmobil treasure & accessories ~
our sets are stored away these days but here's one xmas day from years ago & the giant king's castle ~
playmobil also makes the best pirate ships & they really float ~
i'm sure my future grandchildren will one day play with these same sets ~
knights & royalty, pirates & wizards.. playmobil seems to have it all ~
this is also a particularly cool lion's kingdom castle by megabloks from the 90's that features a flying lion not unlike in the narnia stories ~
