probably my favorite vintage halloween kid's meal prizes ever were these flashlights from wienerschnitzel ~
they gave them out around '94 through '97 right in the prime of my son's trick-or-treating days so ours got plenty of use ~
they were called frite lites ~
oldschool technology (which means they still work) ~
with good ghosts & skellys ~
this halloween the kid's meal prizes have been more predictable ~
scared shrekless prizes from wendy's including a mask ~
the plastic treat bags from carl's jr are always kinda cool (in toxic's day we just used a pillowcase..) ~
but it comes with a generic funbrain kid's meal bag with very unhalloween prizes.. ~
mcdonald's is still giving out treat buckets, 3 different monster high buckets with stickers for girls & star wars angry birds buckets for boys ~
before that were good prizes too, the 75th anniversary of wizard of oz toys ~
& starting the day after halloween mcd's will be giving out paperback books with their kid's meals, i look forward to that..
for more halloween kid's meal bags & buckets check out the kid's meal album in the sidebar ~
1 more week!
ghost & toxic
You can upgrade these lights with Rayovac LED bulbs from Walmart. They cost less than $4. They won't be as bright as a Maglite but they'll be brighter and last longer than the original incandescent bulbs.
