today a bunch of dr seuss books are being released as e-books ~
we love dr seuss at our house ~
but i'm oldschool & prefer the real books ~
my grandmother had a gift for being able to read dr seuss's tongue twisters to my son when he was little ~
some of these books are vintage & some are newer reprints ~
but many have become classics ~
toxic still has her original copies of her dr seuss happy birthday to you & if i ran the circus books ~
our favorites include some of the obscurer poems & short stories such as too many daves & what was i scared of? ~
have you ever made oobleck? ~
etc ~
there are so many dr seuss books ~
the secret art of dr seuss ~
ghost & toxic
I love this post, Bren! <3 It's so cool that Toxic still has her childhood copies of "Happy Birthday to You!" and "If I ran the Circus" books! =) My childhood books were musty and mildewy smelling and one day after being tired and overwhelmed I tossed the majority of them all due to my mold allergy and have regretted it ever since. =( I have never read "The Secret Art Of Dr. Seuss" and with a foreward by Maurice Sendak too! (I love "Where The Wild Things Are") <3 <3 <3
