summer reminds me of the old days toxic would spend hanging around the local thrifty drug store, eating ice cream cones & candy, playing pinball or the other arcade style games there, & feeding every extra quarter, dime, nickel or penny into the gumball machines ~
this small glass & metal machine is a countertop model that would've been filled with gumballs for a penny each, but toxic's favorites were the quarter machines, where you could get anything from a skeleton keychain to a rubber snake ~
made by the carousel company ~
i also have this big victor quarter machine filled with plastic guns! ~
here's a bunch of nickel or dime machine trinkets i have still in their plastic bubbles.. toxic kept a hand-me-down jewelry box from her big sister that she held all her trinkets, rings & plastic charms such as these in ~
& these vintage superhero cups were from a quarter machine back in the 70's ~
