about a mischievous little brownie ~
who lives in the coal cellar ~
the brownie causes considerable trouble for the poor cat ~
this book is just rife with animal abuse & child abuse! ~
there's an 'ill-natured' boy in the story too ~
he's cross to the other children, so the brownie intervenes ~
he's a chicken kicker! ~
brownie takes the poor pony out for a ride ~
bill gets beat with a stick! ~
