hi & welcome to my new blog, this is my first post so bear with me, i hope to evolve this blog into something decent over the summer. my name's bren & i'm a collector, mostly of vintage or classic toys & children's books, but also of various other collectibles & pop culture items, so this is a place where i will be talking about various toys & things that i have in my collection, or toys that i had as a child that i want back. to start, you should know that on the web i am known as ghost, so i'll be using that moniker here, and wherever i mention the nickname, toxic, i am referring to my own inner child self.. (yeah, i am dysfunctional.) i host a website called bren's gumbyland & gallery, because my biggest collection is of gumby memorabilia & i like to paint & create installations & digital art, dollhouses & dollscapes etc. there's a link on the sidebar if you want to visit, as well as to my youtube & flickr pages. i also collect contemporary toys & holiday items, or items with retro themes, & sometimes i may just talk about my own childhood recollections. if you're looking for a particular toy you should try the categories links in the sidebar, but i also suggest using a keyword in the searchbox provided, since i've noticed not everything comes up in either one for some reason, you can also just peruse through old posts & the archives.. nostalgia junkies please feel free to join in & comment anywhere..

That's a complete set of toys I was desiring when I was younger. I never had a lot of toys as many as this. I hope I had the opportunity to have the same number of toys before, because I'm curious how does it feel.

i didn't have many toys as a kid, & the ones i did have were all lost because i had nowhere to keep them, that's why i'm a collector now.. :D
